A same-day charter for an orchestra
A tour manager asked us to help arrange a same-day charter for an Ohio orchestra, who were travelling to Florida to play two concerts in two days. They took a commercial flight to their first performance in Miami, but the next day it was a race against the clock to get them to Orlando for the second concert and back to Ohio. An aircraft charter was the only way to pull off such a tight schedule, so we set about planning an ideal solution.
Our Solution
Route: Miami > Orlando > Cleveland
Aircraft: Airbus A319
Our team quickly sourced an Airbus A319 with plenty of space for the 120 passengers and their luggage. Their instruments were being transported separately by road.
We saved time with plane-side handling in Orlando and arranged for any bags that weren’t needed for the second concert to be left on the aircraft.
While the orchestra was playing in Orlando, we moved the aircraft from the FBO to the main terminal for the homebound flight. This allowed us to land back at Cleveland’s main terminal where the group’s cars were parked.
